205 re Intel and PIC CPUs

At Intel's web site, find their CPU museum and this chart comparing all Intel CPUs. At CPU World, see this quick summary of the Intel 8085.

A popular CPU for learning and for control applications is the PIC family. See the instruction set on pages 37-38 of this data sheet for the PIC 16F84 from Microchip.com. Here's general information, and you will find details of the instruction set on pages 37-38 of this data sheet. Compare the PIC's tiny instruction set with that of the the Intel Pentium, circa 1999 (begin at p 107).
