100 task for the day, August 29

Today's objective is to get some Java programs running. We will use the protocol given by Kline (see below).

1. Run Hello, world using TextPad as a primitive IDE.

2. Check the environment variables and compile and run a Java program from a command window.

3. Alter the program to do some arithmetic. Choose one or more problems at the end of Chapter 2.
