100 Linux survival guide

That's survive, not thrive.

Here's my three-page Linux survival guide for CSC 100 students. It's enough to allow you to compile programs and write web pages on our system.

There are many excellent help pages available on the web; I often include site:.edu in my Google searches to find appropriate ones. I like this Unix Crash Course offered by the Unix labs of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Old Dominion University, as well as the whole big Unix help page that it comes from.

Here's another collection of help pages from UC Davis.
