242 take-home test, Chapter 10

Please return to this site after Wednesday, 6 pm, for a clean copy of the take-home test, which will be due at the beginning of the class on Monday, March 31. The problems will be these:

1. a garden-variety correlation / regression problem, more detailed than the one at the top of p 551 — steps pretty much like those at the top of p 580

2. a problem comparing results of a linear regression with those of a logarithmic regression, inspired by but different from the one at the bottom of p 579

3. a problem similar to the one at the top of p 580, requiring the use of Minitab and sampling from a larger dataset, with data coming from online sources rather than a survey of your own
